GRAND MASTERS

Grandmasters was founded in 1986 by Wingrove Hicks and Kelvin Lennon. Since then Grandmasters, has been the driving force behind the music of St. Kitts earning them many praises at home and abroad. Grandmasters  hold the 1998 & 1999 back to back road march titles. The eight member band, has toured the United States and Europe extensively. During their 1999 tour, Grandmasters had the pleasure of performing in New York City, Miami, Connecticut, Burmingham and Leeds England. Over The Years, Grand Masters has owned people all over the world attention with their hot tracks and albums. They are now the road march champs for carnival 2007-08 and are now increasing their fan base. Grand Masters Band is now known as the hottest band in St.Kitts/Nevis according to the people, and behind their wonderful singing are great performances which are highly talked about.

Grandmaster new album is presently taking over the airwaves with the hit song “A Want Whale”. Did someone say fan base? Grandmasters have been voted Band of the Year with the Largeradio listeners. There song “In the Early Marning” was also voted Song of the Year with the listeners.

Local Youth Leader Tackles Global Concerns
Mr. Stuart Johnson recently represented the future of our country at the Global Young Leaders Conference (GYLC) from July 6 to July 17, 2003 in Washington D.C. and New York, N. Y. The GYLC is a challenging leadership development program for young people from around the world who demonstrate leadership potential and strong scholastic skills. Johnson was among 350 outstanding scholars to attend the conference, which explored international politics, finance, culture and diplomacy with key world leaders and newsmakers.

Teen Time Prom Night 2003
Prom Night 2003, "Oriental Enchantment", was simply spectacular. Once again the crew of Teen Times organised the biggest party of the year and the exam students enjoyed themselves to the max. Not only was the Prom good, but the after party at Q Club was terrific. Sita Eleonora and Juan Carlos de Jesus was crowned Prom Queen and King respectively. Daricia "MOOSHA" Arrindell: A Champion For Jesus
Febuary 17, 2003
Daricia Arrindell, better known as "Moosha" to her friends and family, is making her own mark in the Ice Skating sport. Moosha is currently four years old and has been Ice Skating for a year this August of 2003. In her current residence of Miami, Florida with her parents Tamara Leonard & Darryl "Derrol" Arrindell, she has been training under the wing of her personal coach, Lisa Goldenberg. Ms. Goldenberg is a gold medal national skater and is presently preparing Daricia for her first competition on March 8, 2003.

We do believe that most people have dreams but so few follow them. Lililita and Ilinita Johnson, the vocal duet “Jumelle” or the Johnson Sisters made their dreams come through.With Lots of hard work and determination they did it. There biggest and most recent accomplishment was the Award for most Outstanding Group Vocal Performance of the Year; in the 6th Annual Marlin Award held in Nassau Bahamas.

Rosanna Lake and Barbra Webster on their recent accomplishments. Both girls graduated with the Associate Degree at the New England Institute of Technology in Warwick, Rhode Island. Rosanna Lake (to the left) graduated with an honorary Associate degree in Computerized Business Management, and Barbra Webster (to the right) received her Associate degree in Telecommunications. These wonderful ladies will be pursuing their Bachelor’s degree in July 2002.

St.Maarten Represent in Pace Pagent
April 18th, 2002
Pace University held a Mr. & Mrs. Caribbean pageant on Thursday April 18th, 2002.Ý The pageant consisted of a total of twelve contestants with twelve segments. The segments were casual wear, club wear , evening wear and talent and of course the question segment in the end.Ý Jerome Gumbs and Tyrene Hodge were the two students from St. Maarten that entered the competition and represented their island to the fullest.
