Triple Kay Band “Journeying to take Dominica and its music throughout the world” is the motto that governs the efforts of the group, and fosters the environment for its eminence during its reign.

The name of the band stems from the three founding members (hence the word Triple) from the scenic village of Laudat whose main goal was Kulture And Youth. Over the years, this three member group has grown into a full eleven member band of dedicated, talented hardworking members who have collectively contributed tremendously to its continuance and growth.
To date, the band has produced over 9 albums. There latest being “Bubblin” in 2012. The main goal of the band is to please its fans all over the world. In addition to the Bouyon Music, which is a musical genre coming from the homeland Dominica a beautiful island in the Caribbean; they also play zouk, compass, reggae, cadence, and dancehall. The mastering of these different types of music created significant growth, taking the band to a whole new level. In this new technological era, the production of complete cd’s / albums may not be a prudent business decision therefore the band has concentrated on producing a number of singles and music videos throughout the year keeping current with the times and also allowing the fans to catch what’s new almost instantaneously. The band has not only kept up the task of just playing music and mastering the art form but has invested in the methods of execution and performance. Because of its consistency and its incessant efforts and success, Triple Kay Band is esteemed and highly dignified in its homeland, and well respected around the world. This recognition led to the renowned opportunity to perform in the World Music Creole Festival in 2002 and has been playing annually ever since gaining much international exposure.
In 2004, Triple Kay Band was named “Band of the Year” in their homeland. In November 2005 the band was again named “Best Band of the Year”. They were also the winner of the “Song of the Year” and also obtained the award for the best male vocalist. Over the past six years, the band has continued to make their fans proud by being the “Band of the Year”.
The Triple Kay Band has gained much local and international recognition. In 2004, the band had toured for the first time. We travelled to England, St. Martin, Saba and Guadeloupe. The band received great reviews and the request for the band was overwhelming. Ever since, there has been popular demand for the band throughout the year at carnivals throughout the USA, USVI, Canada, England, Belgium, Martinique, and throughout the other English and French Speaking Caribbean Islands. The band has performed at many festivals locally and abroad and has proven to be proud ambassadors of Dominica.
To date, Triple Kay is one of the most popular bands in the region with numerous music videos and live shows broadcasted on various international television networks and social media sites and the name has become synonymous with excitement, hype, showmanship and energy. Triple Kay Band is guarenteed to keep you dancing all night long.
“The band has produced a number of hit singles and published many chart toppers in the Caribbean. In 2014 the band’s smash hit “Nous Konnet Vive” was adopted as the country’s carnival theme and during the national elections cycle in late 2014 the big hit “Watch Your Foot In de Corner”. In 2015 the band copped the People’s Road March “Lock de Gate” where we collaborated with Mr. Killa from Grenada aka Rolly Polly. Another colab featuring “Flippo” from Trinidad & Tobago titled “Waist” has been creating serious waves regionally. 2016 saw the rise of the band’s prominence in soca music with the introduction to the world of the ever popular “Nice Time”.
The band was judged ‘Road March’ winners for its 2017 smash hit “Roll Dat BoomBoom” which was a staple at all events for the carnival season. With the success of its recent music video “Fete Till Mornin” which has been receiving accolades far and wide the band has been approached and contracted to participate in a number of musical events around the region and across the world and will definitely keep the mantra of taking bouyon music throughout the world.
